The Pasco County School System is recognized across the state for its innovative and challenging instructional programs. Teaching practices focus on technology, and high standards of excellence. The school system's design for schools is based on the concept of the Community of Connected Schools. The concept is founded on the principal of Continuous Progress, which enables students to move through the educational program in a seamless flow at a rate that makes the accomplishment of high standards both challenging and achievable.

Florida Colleges

The school system includes 43 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, 11 high schools, and 4 specialized education centers. To meet the needs of our culturally diverse population of students, specialized programs are offered that include special needs and gifted educational studies, before and after school programs and child care services, and community education. Pasco County students perform at or above national and state averages on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) college entrance exam and the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Our students stand out among others everyday!
