Pasco Education Foundation and Richey Suncoast Theater to find Top Talent in Pasco’s Public High Schools.
The Pasco Education Foundation and Richey Suncoast Theater are seeking the most highly talented performing arts students in Pasco County’s public high schools to compete in this year’s Ticket To Broadway on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Auditions for Ticket to Broadway will be held at the Richey Suncoast Theater beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010 and at The Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Auditions are open to high school students in Pasco County’s public schools.
Musicians, singers, dancers, ensembles, comedians, jugglers, tumblers, etc. are encouraged to audition.
Students must audition using the material they plan on using in the show and should wear the costume or outfit they will wear in the show as well.
Tickets for the show on April 17, 2010 are on sale at the Richey Suncoast Theater box office for $15 per ticket.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets will provide funding for the Richey Suncoast Theater Performing Arts Scholarships through the Foundation’s Scholarship Opportunities for Graduating Seniors. Last year’s event raised over $5,000 in scholarships.
High school students interested in the technical aspects of producing shows are encouraged to get involved in the event using the contact information listed below.

Book Closing for City of Port Richey Municipal Election
Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley announced the voter registration books will close to the City of Port Richey for new registrations on Monday, March 15, 2010. Anyone voting for the first time must have a completed voter registration application on file at the Supervisor of Elections office by this date. Voters who have not been voting regularly are advised to check their voter registration status using our new “Are You Registered” website feature. To access, go to www.pascovotes.com, select the Voter Registration option from the left-hand column on the homepage and then the Are You Registered? link to verify your status.
Voters who voted in other counties in the past, or have not voted in a long time should not wait until Election Day to find out the status of their voter registration. By law, a purged registration due to inactivity cannot be activated on Election Day.
